BASS cracks Singapore market with offshore giants Pacific Radiance Ltd
OSLO, NORWAY; April 29, 2014: BASS software solutions are growing to be a firm favourite of the offshore oil and gas industry, as proven recently by its latest contract with newly listed Singapore offshore support services provider leader, Pacific Radiance.
With its origins in 2002, the Pacific Radiance Group owns and operates a fleet of over 130 modern offshore support vessels. The Group includes complementary and supporting services which provide synergistic solutions in support of global offshore exploration and production activities in Asia, Africa, Australia, and Latin America
Pacific Radiance’s management saw that they were undoubtedly on to a good thing after a stringent and exhaustive evaluation of BASSnet™ shipping software against alternative fleet management solutions in the market.
Pacific Radiance Ltd which is among the largest offshore services provider in the region, has selected the BASSnet™ Maintenance module for a pilot of 2 vessels and plan to move on to the other vessels upon successful completion of the initial vessels implementation. The second phase of the project will include the BASSnet Procurement™ module which covers the Requisition, Purchase orders, Invoicing and Budget control.
BASSnet™ Maintenance which is approved by major classification society such as Det Norske Veritas (DNV) Germanischer Lloyd (GL), Lloyd’s Register, Class NK, and Bureau Veritas improves efficiency by enabling the timely and accurate reporting of vessel maintenance information while constantly updating essential data in the office. All components including a list of spare parts, transfer of materials and maintenance jobs impacting ships are fed into the system. In addition, users can also supplement the information by including documents, measurements and reports.
In the past few years, BASS’ presence in the offshore services sector has grown exponentially in Asia which includes Dayang Offshore, “K” Line, Bumi Armada, Alam Maritim, Icon Offshore, Varada Marine, Sealink and Jasa Merin. This is a convincing endorsement of the value for money that it delivers with its innovative software solutions said Derrick Lee, BASS’ Senior Regional Manager for Sales, Asia.
“With BASS as a key software partner, Pacific Radiance is assured of delivering maximum value since all processes can be managed at optimal efficiency,” he added.
For offshore services firms to bid for jobs, a robust IT system on their vessels is a standard requirement today. Hence, market leaders such as Pacific Radiance are installing state-of-the-art systems to further improve their fleet efficiency.
Pacific Radiance Ltd is a publicly traded company in Singapore with a market capitalisation in excess of SGD 700 Million, making it among the largest offshore support services companies in the region.
