HSH Nordbank Run 2014

On June 21 2014, BASS GmbH proudly participated for the third time in Northern Germany’s biggest charity run, the HSH Nordbank Run, in Hamburg’s district of HafenCity. The charity run, which has become part of Hamburg’s annual tradition, was held to support the ‘Children Help Children’ project in raising funds for underprivileged children to be active in sports clubs.

Our team of 10 was part of the record-breaking number of 812 teams and 23,244 participants that ran a 4-kilometer stretch through HafenCity for a great cause, raising an astounding 1.1 million Euros’ worth of donation collected from the entry fee. The money will be channelled to the ‘Children Help Children’ project and so far, more than 9,300 children and youths from impoverished backgrounds have been able to engage in sports activities and clubs.

The concept of running with friends, colleagues and families in a healthy and stress-free environment, while generously giving back to the community, gave the participants a great sense of satisfaction. BASS GmbH would like to extend their gratitude to the organiser, participants and others who have made this charity run yet another outstanding success.
