The project aims to improve quality of youth, building their self-confidence and encouraging them to spend quality time in sports groups.

The event was opened by environmental senator Jutta Blankau, managing board of HSH Nordbank Torsten Temp and director of HafenCity Hamburg GmbH, Jürgen Bruns-Berentelg. 10 members from BASS Germany team ran 4 kilometres through HafenCity – Hamburg’s upcoming and fastest growing district near the port.

In the company of friends and fellow runners, the day was filled with fun, laughter, good sportsmanship, and also surprises! A total of 20,884 runners achieved a total of EUR 133,500 — EUR 6,000 more than last year.
