BASS European Customer Forum 2019

BASS is delighted to thank the over 90 representatives who made the trip to Rotterdam from multiple countries for making this year’s European Customer Forum such a great success.

The steadily growing number of participants year-on-year is evidence of the increasing interest in BASS’ application workshops as a forum for knowledge-sharing and brainstorming, in addition to playing an active role in the future development of BASSnet™ through extensive user feedback.

Last week, nearly 100 participants met in the colorful setting of Room Mate Bruno Hotel to learn more about the latest BASSnet™ developments and gain deeper insight into new and existing features in our comprehensive suite of fleet management solutions. In four parallel workshops, we covered important areas of interest in the maritime industry, particularly regarding vessel Maintenance, Safety, Crewing and Procurement, with customers generously sharing knowledge and experience in lively discussions.

With the fruitful exchange of innovative ideas, helpful feedback on current and upcoming iterations of BASSnet™, as well as a thorough review of BASS’ progress in catering to multiple change requests, our customers continue to contribute valuable input for us to adopt when further developing and refining BASSnet™ features.

And of course, as there is more to life than work, we would be remiss not to mention that the conference was topped off with our highly enjoyable dinner event, with participants mingling and socializing in a relaxing atmosphere that began with a delightful water taxi ride to the SS Rotterdam hotel ship, the former flagship of Holland America Line.  Here, participants were treated to an excellent guided tour of the storied former ocean liner, followed by a delicious buffet dinner and drinks onboard the ship docked by the river’s edge with its beautiful night-time views. For many, the evening ended with a lovely walk along the waterfront back to the hotel.

We are proud to say that our European Customer Forum 2019 was an undoubted success on many levels, with all participants contributing significantly to making this year’s event productive and enjoyable. We hope to see everyone again soon, and look forward to next year’s event!
