BASS enters oil platform market with Jadestone Energy signing
OSLO, NORWAY; 22nd February, 2017: BASS, the leading provider of maritime software solutions, is pleased to announce that Jadestone Energy (Australia) Pty Ltd (“Jadestone Energy”) will use the integrated BASSnet™ system to manage and improve its onshore and offshore oil platform operations.
The signing of Jadestone Energy, on 12th January 2017, is a significant milestone as it becomes BASS’ first customer to use BASSnet™ on an oil platform. The key modules Jadestone Energy will onboard are BASSnet™ Maintenance, Procurement, Safety Information Reporting (SAFIR), Document Manager and HR Manager (Crewing module), which will be implemented in both its office and on their Stag oilfield, located in the Carnarvon Basin, 60 km offshore Western Australia.
“BASS’ integrated software solution aligns our asset management, maintenance programme and other areas of operation, and will provide round-the-clock support services that streamlines our processes,” says Andrew Gibbons, the Maintenance, Integrity and Planning Superintendent of Jadestone Energy.
Jadestone Energy’s maintenance strategies, planning, and management reporting on the oil platform will be greatly enhanced by the BASSnet™ Maintenance module, which is approved by major classification societies. In addition, the seamless integration with the BASSnet™ Procurement module will allow for highly effective purchasing planning and inventory control. Jadestone Energy’s ability to efficiently track important safety information and record data will be also be boosted with the strong reporting and analytical capabilities of BASSnet™ SAFIR, which tracks events arising from accidents and hazardous occurrences that affect the safety of personnel onboard the oil platform.
Finally, Jadestone Energy will now be managing all their crewing operation needs with the BASSnet™ HR Manager Crewing module. The module holistically manages recruitment, monitors knowledge development, plans personnel changes and travel arrangements, and focuses crew planning by scheduling the right person with the right competence for the job.
“We are delighted to bring our integrated BASSnet™ system to Jadestone Energy and the Stag oilfield. Our first foray into the oil platform market marks a significant step for BASS, as we continue to develop BASSnet™ into a solution fit for operation across all sectors of the maritime industry”, adds Chris Long, BASS’ Asia Pacific Senior Regional Sales Manager.
BASS has an established reputation and strong presence in the maritime software industry; its BASSnet™ software solution’s consistent user-friendly interface and built-in best practices will help to effectively streamline Jadestone Energy’s processes. BASS is targeting to complete the implementation process by April 2017.
