Application Support Consultant (Service Desk)

BASS is seeking qualified Application Support Consultant to join our team to expand our customer-focused solution to new heights. If you have passion for service desk and support management and would like to further expand your experience in system monitoring and administration, please refer to the following:

What should you have? 

  • Strong technical and functional knowledge in two or more BASSnet modules. It is not necessary to support core modules in BASSnet (e.g. BASSnet Procurement, BASSnet Maintenance, BASSnet HRM, BASSnet Financials etc.)
  • Ability to manage, monitor and control the responsible modules’ support tickets (inclusive of own responsible and other support consultants’ ticket fall under the responsible modules)
  • Ability to manage and monitor BASSnet system in BASSnet Cloud (Microsoft Azure), and to report any discrepancy found to 1st level support consultant to follow up
  • Strong sense of monitoring incident aging
  • Strong 1st level and/or 2nd level application support experience to BASS customers as per SLA
  • Ability to manage patch kit release including documentation for the installation guide, checklist and roll out remote support and coordination
  • Strong support skill to provides BASS software remote installation

What do you need to qualify?

  • Candidate must possess Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma/Post graduate Diploma in Computer Science /Information Technology or equivalent
  • Good experience with installing and configuring MS SQL Server and database SQL knowledge
  • Strong customers focus with at least 2 – 3 years’ experience in customer service and support field particularly in plant maintenance system, procurement or financial system will be added advantage
  • Knowledge in ERP (Ship Safety system such as BASSnet SAFIR or Risk Management)
  • Knowledge in the maritime industry or have been involved in IT Support for maritime industry or maritime system roll out would be an advantage
  • Willingness to be on standby 24/7 basis
  • Able to work on rotational shift
  • Overseas travelling is mandatory
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
